If you're curious about the #BellyDanceBeauties tag I teased the other day, here's the straight dope. Basically, I'll be drawing some of my favourite characters in dancing costumes of my own creation, incorporating details from their own universes. I won't be including anyone who's already a bellydancer, because that would be redundant. So for once, no Shantae. But there may seme boys involved, too...!

Now, why am I doing this? Well, do I even need a reason, lol? But here's some anyway. 1) Because it's cute, lol. 2) In my research, I’ve been learning the differences of different dance styles. That means there are many ways to individualise both the costumes and poses for each character. 3) In these troubled times, I want to do my part to promote the lighter side of Arabian culture. And 4) I've been thinking of expanding my bellydancer fem-self universe (from fav.me/davfblb), so this would be good practise for that. Or the other way around…?
